Job Summary:

The Project Manager with BI Technical Expertise will lead and manage end-to-end BI projects, ensuring that the technical aspects of BI systems and processes are delivered successfully. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, data engineers, and development teams to design, implement, and optimize business intelligence solutions. This position requires strong project management skills combined with a deep understanding of BI tools, data architectures, and technical problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management

• Lead and manage multiple BI projects from initiation to closure, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones to guide the team and stakeholders.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, developers, and business users.

2. BI Solutions Implementation

• Work with stakeholders to define BI requirements, including reporting, dashboards, and data analytics needs.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement BI solutions, such as data warehouses, data lakes, ETL pipelines, and reporting tools.
• Ensure the successful deployment and adoption of BI solutions, helping to drive business decisions through data.

3. Technical Expertise

• Leverage deep knowledge of BI technologies and frameworks (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, SSRS, SAP BI, etc.) to guide project decisions and design.
• Understand and apply data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL best practices.
• Oversee data governance, data quality, and compliance aspects of BI solutions.

4. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

• Partner with business leaders to understand business needs, goals, and challenges.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical capabilities in BI projects.

5. Risk Management & Issue Resolution

• Identify potential risks and obstacles, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve technical and project-related issues.
• Ensure quality control processes are in place to deliver reliable and accurate BI solutions.

6. Continuous Improvement

• Monitor and assess the performance of BI systems and processes, making recommendations for improvements.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging BI technologies and industry trends to propose innovative solutions and enhance project outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

1. Experience

• 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the BI or data analytics domain.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) and technologies.
• Proven experience with BI system implementation, data warehousing, ETL, and reporting.
• Strong experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex technical projects.

2. Skills

• Solid understanding of BI concepts, data modeling, and data architecture.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and analytically.

3. Certifications (Preferred but not required)

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certification (Scrum Master, etc.)
• BI tool certifications (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with SQL and data query languages.
• Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
• Experience with advanced analytics and machine learning integration in BI solutions.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position.
• Some travel may be required for client meetings or on-site implementation.
• Hybrid working (Mon, Wed and Fri)
